Barbara Walters has been a writer/researcher for more than 50 years and she wants to retire in May 2014. For the time being, she is working as a co-host for The View and plans to do this work for one more year.
Barbara Walters fell down from the stairs and cause a cut on her head. She was visiting the British Ambassador’s residence when the accident occured. She was taken to a hospital on Saturday night.
Jeffrey W. Schneider, senior vice president of ABC News, tells POLITICO, “Out of an abundance of caution, she went to the hospital to have her cut tended to, have a full examination and remains there for observation. Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign.”
Barbara Walters wants to retire next year. She told this to President Barack Obama.
During an interview, Barbara told Obama, “I need one more interview with you because I’m retiring next year.”
