A source told The People: ‘Katie and Alex have been trying for a couple of months now, but Katie is not yet expecting.
‘Because they are desperate to have a child very soon, they have taken the decision to start early stages of fertility treatment to give them a bit of help.
‘Katie has not had a problem conceiving in the past, so she and Alex are remaining very optimistic that it won’t be long until they are parents together.’
