She told PEOPLE on Tuesday “I feel sturdy and strong”. Currently she need to undergo dialysis three times a week, three hours a day.

According to reports, Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were found dead in her Chicago home Friday afternoon. They were shot and killed. It is a tragic that this sort of thing happened. It must be hard for Jennifer to accept.

A representative from Hudson family’s church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist, confirms to
the Chicago Sun-Times that Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Hudson, aged 57, was murdered whereas TMZ.com confirms Hudson’s brother, Jason, was also a victim.

Chicago Police Department spokesman John Mirabelli tells Usmagazine.com “Officers responded
to a call of two people found unresponsive. They discovered a male and a female that had
sustained fatal gunshot wounds.”
