Today is my country Malaysia’s Independence Day, which falls on 31st August. Today is 51st Independence Day. I love Malaysia, full with friendly people, diverse culture and delicious food.

Amy Winehouse’s concert in France has been postponed because she is not well. Initially, this concert was scheduled in Paris on Friday night.
Her U.K. rep, Chris Goodman said “She was taken ill at her house and wasn’t able to travel to France for the concert”.
Pregnant Ashlee Simpson does not care about her weight
Ashlee Simpson wrote on her MySpace page about a blog that wrote something not true about her. She wrote “Today I read on a blog that I went to the doctor and he said I was overweight and I cried and went to Planet Blue (because I was blue) and bought 6 pair of size 0 jeans”.
Then she added “My doctor says I am right on target with my weight gain, have not been to Planet Blue in at least two years, love my maternity jeans… they have stretchy tops it is awesome!”
“Carrying a child is the most inspiring, emotional, amazing experience of my life. My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about. I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. People who talk and judge pregnant women’s weight need to get a life!!!

Karl Lagerfeld teams up with German luxury toymakers Steiff
Karl Lagerfeld co-operates with German luxury toymakers Steiff to create the 40cm-high limited edition teddy bears. There will be only 2,500 of these teddy bears and it will costs £750 each and pertains a gold version of the signature Steiff button in its ear.
The bears go on sale next month at Neiman Marcus department store in New York.

Shannen Doherty denies having any fight with Jennie Garth, her co-star in Beverly Hills, 90210 back then. This was claimed by Tori Spelling.
She told US Magazine “We never did. I think I would remember Jennie’s fist connecting with a part of my body or a part of my face.”

David Duchovny checked into rehab for sex addiction
According to Stanton “Larry” Stein, who is David Duchovny’s lawyer, David Duchovny has checked into rehabilitation center for sex addiction. He told this to PEOPLE.
David Duchovny said “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”
Duchovny has two children together with his wife Téa Leoni. They married on 1997.
